If foreign company approached you then it's 99% fake , unllike other countries like USA it's uncommon for a Canadian company to issue work visa primarily because of so many immigrants they receive annually.

It's one thing for you to chase a company or a company to contact you based on your application in specific job site or directly to them.

But for a company to contact you out of blue and offer you a job without any rounds of interview is all classic example of scam.

Medical exams if needed happen after job offer is signed and before visa , in short it's the last process , it's never the first process.

Genuine companies never asks for money in any form.

Remember if it doesn't make sense then it ain't true.

Do Google research , check linked In , Glassdoor etc just to get some hint or idea but don't blindly trust good review because it's very easy to fake reviews especially on Google.

In some cases you can sometimes even validate the legality of the company with embassy Indian or Forigen.

Now if the company is well known but you think the person who contacted you is a fraud , then you can get in touch with the company HR via official authentic website and verify if they have indeed sent you can offer.

Look out for any red flags during your dealing with the person/ company you think is fraud , like website on free site hosting services like Google sites , blogspot etc , or company website doesn't have HTTPS , HR is using free email account like gmail, they ask for money inguise of processing fee, medical etc , they ask you to mail your orginal documents , or they ask you to share your banking details , they have not shared a proper job description , they seem in a hurry , they only communicate in chat / email, or number they call from doesn't go back to them or seems suspicious etc etc basically anything which seems odd should be treated as a redflag which requires further investigation.

These are some of the ways to get some indication on authenticity of an offer letter received.

Follow one golden rule , be wary of any company which ask for money in any form . Genuine companies will never ask you for money.
